Meghalaya was represented by Shri Sampath Kumar, Director, Meghalaya Basin Development Board (MBDA) and Shri. Aiban Swer, Director, Meghalaya Institute of Governance (MIG), in the day-long seminar by the World Food Trust on “Sustainable Agriculture and India towards Total Food Security”. The duo jointly gave a very detailed presentation on the efforts of the state of Meghalaya in mitigating poverty, its attempts to support the farmers and move towards sustainable agriculture and reducing and attaining food security.

Shri Sampath Kumar and Shri Aiban Swer were presented with a memento by the World Food Trust. Shri S. Ramesh, CEO can be seen presenting the memento.
